This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) are used on this website. It was prepared on the basis of the Guide on Cookie Practices of the Personal Data Protection Authority of Türkiye and Law No. 6698.

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files placed in your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies such as local storage also keep information in your browser.

2. What is used on this site?

  • No site cookies: This site’s own software does not place cookies in visitors’ browsers.
  • Preference record (local storage): The record named “carilo_consent_v1” only stores your map permission choice (accepted or rejected) and the time of the choice in your own browser. It is not sent to the server and is not used for tracking. It stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice. It is necessary so that your choice is remembered; no separate consent is requested for it.
  • No analytics or advertising: No analytics, advertising or profiling cookies or trackers are used.
  • Administration session: Session cookies are used only when authorised site administrators sign in to the administration panel; this does not apply to visitors.

3. Third party: Google Maps

The map on the contact page comes from Google Maps. Because this content is not essential, no request is made to Google and no Google cookie is placed until you press “Accept”. If you accept, the map loads automatically; Google may then use its own cookies and similar technologies and processes your IP address. Google’s policies apply to this processing (https://policies.google.com/privacy, https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies). Your choice is an explicit consent and can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Managing your preferences

  • With the “Cookie preferences” button at the bottom of the page you can change your acceptance or rejection at any time. When you reject, the map is closed; the address and a location link remain available.
  • You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings; your preference will then be asked again.
